One Response to “Holistic Sexuality – Part 2 – Breath”

This kind of breathing can be effective from a sacred or more holistic standpoint, but there’s also a definite chemical change that occurs in the body when so much oxygen is taken in. If this breathing were a little less controlled, a little more exhaustive and persistent, then light-headedness may result. The difference between Sheri’s breathing and the hyperventilation that occurs from, let’s say, a panic attack, is steady pacing, deep intake into the belly, full exhalation and a relaxed demeanor.
I point this out because deep breathing can actually get us high. The kind of sensation you derive from various paces of breathing will be vastly different. The natural high induced by deep, rhythmic breathing can be an exhilarating addition to the sexual experience. Take your time with it and let it help you focus your presence, relax your body and get your blood flowing.
