Excellent video, excellent lesson! This was my first-ever opportunity to see GrayDancer present on something and I am loving his matter-of-fact, approachable, evenly-paced style. His instructions seemed easy to follow (I’ll have to try this!) and his reasons for why and how he was doing what he was doing all made sense.
Hmm, i wonder what is the thickest rope i can get at my local hardware store.
I like the practicality of the washable nylon rope. BUT, in a cautionary tale, i killed Ms’ washing machine yesterday by throwing in a length of rope. How does one protect one’s washer from rope ruin?
To stop the rope from wrapping around the agitator put it in a lingerie bag or if you don’t have one put the rope in a pillowcase and use a hair tie or rubber band on the end to keep it closed. Hope this helps :D.
Definitely don’t skip using nylon rope for this one! My cotton rope is really soft but still rubbed a bit, especially on the wrists. A great video though.
