Welcome to the newest Erotication feature, check marks and statuses! We love to play up the school kitsch here at KinkAcademy so it made perfect sense to give members a way to ‘earn their stripes’ so to speak.

To be VERY clear, this is not any sort of certification, accreditation, or confirmation of your skills. What it IS is a fun opportunity to interact with the site, build confidence, keep track of your learning and show others how studiously you’re approaching your kink education!

Of course, this is a feature that you can choose to participate in, or choose to opt out of. If it sounds fun to you, great – you can turn it on in your profile admin! If you want nothing to do with it, go on enjoying the site exactly has you have been. That way everyone wins!

Here’s how it works:

You accumulate ‘check marks’ for each interactive activity you do on the site. Each activity gains a different number of check marks, and when you reach a certain amount, your status grows. Simple right?!

Create a Playlist – 3
Watch a video – 2
Make comment on video – 1
Vote for a playlist – 1

To be Novice all you have to do is fill out your profile.

Next, watch 15 videos all the way through, make 5 comments, create 1 playlist and collect 5 other miscellaneous check-marks, at which point you’ll become Apprentice.

To become Journeyer, watch a total of 40 videos, make 10 more comments, create 2 new playlists and earn an extra 15 miscellaneous check marks.

The highest status we have available right now is Adept, and to achieve it you get to watch 65 videos, make 30 comments and create a total of 5 playlists plus 20 miscellaneous check marks.

The title of Expert is unattainable for now, but you can keep working your way up to it!

I’m also negotiating with my favorite vendors and sponsors to reward different statuses with sexy kinky prizes. More details about that as I have them, but you might want to get started racking up those check marks for when it’s ready!
