I wanted to correct the statements in the video about human hair and liquid latex.

I’m a hairy bear, and have been covered head to toe in liquid latex a number of times, including my head and beard. I used vaseline once ahead of time, which worked, but made a mess as little balls of latex stuck to the vaseline.

Now I don’t do anything on my skin or hair ahead of time. One trick is that you need to do it thick in several coats – a thin coat will stay on the hair, while a thicker coat will be more likely to pull off as it sticks to itself.

It will not pull off in nice sheets like it does in bare skin – it will be more of a hassle to remove.

To remove:
0 – Get a hair trap for the shower drain, as you don’t want the latex going into your plumbing.
1 – Get in a warm shower and let the water run on and under the latex, rubbing it to create more holes in the latex where water can get behind it. Spend about 5 minutes soaking it down with the hot water. This will loosen it up.
2 – Have a large bottle of conditioner. Rub the conditioner on and into the latex. Your goal is to get the conditioner between the latex and your skin. It will lubricate the hair, and then latex will pull off in handfuls. You will do this several times, especially where the hair is thick.
3 – Use a lice comb to comb the last latex bits out.

It isn’t easy, but it can be done. The last time I was covered head-to-toe, I was cleaned up in about 20 minutes of time in the shower.
