Biography:

M. Makael Newby wants everyone to have fulfilling, lasting and juicy relationships – with others and with themselves. Residing in Portland, OR with her husband, two cats, and two dogs, she sees relationship coaching and sexuality consulting clients in her home office, or via Skype or phone. Her personal mission is that all people live the style of intimate relationship that inspires them.

With high honors in two undergraduate degrees, she has spent her adult life pursuing personal development and an understanding of interpersonal relationships. She has completed over 650 hours of accredited coursework with Landmark Education, and is a Certified Coach.

Makael’s personal experience in the realms of alternative sexuality and sex-positive lifestyles have given her a unique perspective on sex, love and intimacy, and she has taught workshops about non-traditional relationships and sexual empowerment across the country.

Her first book, My Erotic Adventure, a choose-your-own styled sexual romp with 48 unique endings, was written as a fun, sexy and non-threatening tool to introduce non-traditional lifestyles and alternative choices to the curious and inquiring, as well as entertain the experienced player. Unique on the print-media market, My Erotic Adventure provides a safe way to share the concepts of kink, non-monogamy, and sexual freedom with one’s “vanilla” family and friends without outing oneself. Makael’s hope is that it creates an opening for both private and public conversations about sexuality, empowering sexual exploration, and a way for partners and friends to investigate their passions, preferences, and possibilities with each other.
