We’re Sorry — Kink Academy Isn’t Available Where You Are
Due to government regulations or legal restrictions in your current region, we are unable to provide access to KinkAcademy.com at this time.
We wish this weren’t the case — and frankly, we don’t agree with the policies that make it necessary. But for now, this is the reality we’re navigating.
Why This Is Happening
Kink Academy offers a comprehensive library of adult sex-education videos — covering topics like BDSM, kink, polyamory, ethical non-monogamy, gender diversity, and relationship communication. Unfortunately, in some parts of the world, content like this is heavily restricted, misclassified, or even criminalized under vague or sweeping laws.
While Kink Academy is a platform for adult sex education, many governments around the world apply overly broad or vague regulations to websites that include:
- Sexually explicit educational content
- LGBTQ+ or kink-related content
- Sex-positive discussions outside of heteronormative frameworks
These laws often conflate education with obscenity — and as a result, they require us to block access from certain countries or regions.
We regret the impact this has on curious, consenting adults who simply want access to knowledge.
To comply with such regional policies, access to the site is blocked based on your IP address — the identifier that tells websites where your internet connection is coming from.
How We Block Access — and What That Means
When you visit a website, your device shares an IP address, which roughly indicates your location. Most companies — including Kink Academy — use IP-based geolocation services to detect whether a visitor is coming from a restricted region.
But here’s the thing:
IP-based location detection is not a perfect science.
IP addresses can be masked or rerouted. Many internet users, especially those concerned with privacy or freedom of information, use tools like Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) — which allow them to appear as if they’re browsing from a different country or state. VPNs are widely used to:
- Bypass government firewalls
- Access restricted content abroad
- Protect user anonymity and personal data
We recognize that geolocation blocking is not foolproof, and we understand that motivated users often find their own solutions — especially when education and access are at stake. Users are solely responsible for complying with the laws of their own jurisdictions and companies have no control over users utilizing tools like VPNs. However, as long as restrictive laws are in place, this method of geoblocking will remain the default — even if it doesn’t reflect the reality of how people choose to connect.
We Believe in Access — For Everyone
Kink Academy was built on the belief that sexuality is a human right, and education about consent, pleasure, identity, and communication should never be treated as taboo.
While we must comply with the legal boundaries around us, our values remain the same:
- We believe in consensual, shame-free learning
- Adults everywhere deserve safe, accurate information to explore their sexuality safely, privately, and with confidence
- We believe that information should be accessible, not policed
- Government censorship of sexual content often stems from stigma, fear, and political control — not public safety
- Ignorance is more dangerous than knowledge
We’re not here to push any one kind of sex life. We’re here to provide tools, ideas, and education so you can make informed decisions for yourself.
We strongly disagree with laws that censor adult sex education.
