This six-minute video (part 3 of 3) starts by exploring how partner-sharing among bisexual men and women can affect jealousy in romantic triangles. When this happens, romantic triangles are often closed, creating a triad that can affect jealousy in very different ways. For example, studies show certain chemicals are often released in the brain that lower jealousy and increase trust. Other times, benefits can be created among partners, such as greater time spent together. Or, partners can be included more with their partner’s polyamorous partner. Cookson cautions against generalities, noting that sexuality is so widely varied, and concludes by considering how partner-sharing can sometimes increase a partner’s irrationality. He uses the last minute of the clip to summarize his three-part presentation.
